Projection Film/Foil
Projection Film/foil is an adhesive based projection product for glass and acrylic substrates
Definition Film, Intrigue Film, Accent Film
The Screen solutions projection films/foils products apply to any glass or acrylic substrate much like your standard window tinting products with built in adhesives for ease of installation
Below are the simple rules of thumb for applying a Screen Solutions projection film/foil
1. Prepare the surface on which you will be mounting the film (Glass/Acrylic).
You will require:
A. Your SSI Projection film cut to your size
B. A spray bottle (water)
C. A rubber blade squeegee
D. A cloth or rag
E. Scotch tape (for marking if you applying a film smaller than your substrate)
2. If your film is smaller than your substrate, mark your area with scotch tape for placement.
3. Clean the mounting surface by spraying water first (use a light detergent) over the surface.
4. Squeegee the excess water off the mounting surface.
5. Peel the release film to the middle of the sheet.
6. Spray water on the adhesive side of the SSI Projection film and the mounting surface.
7. Carefully place your SSI Projection film on your mounting surface (align with your marking tape).
8. Remove water and air bubbles (Use squeegee blade Pull from centre to edge)
9. Repeat this process for the second half of your film
10. Ensure all air bubble and water bubbles are out of the film (water bubbles become air bubble when they evaporate)
11. Wipe off all excess water from film and mounting surface
12. Remove marking tapes
13. Check back periodically to make sure there are no air bubbles or water bubbles
